IMPACT

This year, the PTA has made a remarkable contribution to the life of St Peter’s School, enhancing both the school environment and the wider community.

One of their most visible achievements has been the transformation of our outdoor spaces. The PTA funded improvements to St Peter’s Patch, which is now regularly maintained by pupils in our Gardening Club, providing a valuable opportunity for pupils to develop practical skills and live our our school mission of caring for God’s creation. They have also helped transform our Prayer Garden into a multifunctional sensory garden, complete with a water feature and a peaceful space for reflection and prayer.

Throughout the year, the PTA has continued to support families and pupils in many practical ways. They have provided refreshments at every Parents’ Evening, helped reduce the cost of school uniform through the sale of pre-loved items, and pre-used revision guides to support pupils in their studies.

The PTA also played a key role in the school achieving the CAFOD Live Simply Award, demonstrating their commitment to sustainability, community engagement and Catholic social teaching. In addition, they have enhanced learning opportunities across the school by funding new equipment for the Science Department, providing football boots for PE, providing resources for Imago Dei Day, supplies for Pupil Parliament and are currently supporting the Modern Foreign Languages Department with equipment to assist pupils during their GCSE listening examinations.

Alongside these contributions, the PTA successfully organised both the Christmas Fayre and Summer Fayre, bringing together pupils, families, staff and members of the local community. These events not only raised valuable funds but also strengthened the sense of belonging and community that makes St Peter’s so special.

This year has been particularly significant as the PTA became formally established as a charity under The St Raphael Educational Trust. Through their dedication and tireless efforts, they have created opportunities for the school and wider community to come together and celebrate one another.

The PTA truly embodies our Gospel values of “serving one another humbly in love” and has helped foster a community spirit that is one of the most distinctive and cherished aspects of St Peter’s School. Their commitment, generosity and enthusiasm continue to make a lasting difference to the lives of our pupils and families.
